All about my tapa

I like my tapa because of the flowers and diamonds. My tapa was created in 3 days. We had to use vivid, bleach, pencil and a ruler. My tapa shows rotation and reflection. This is a Samoan design. The best thing that I like is the four diamond and the flower in a diamond. The hardest part was the border.

Dr Ben Carson Trip

Hooray! We are going to see Dr Ben Carson at the Telstra Clear Manukau Events Centre. We arrived in a bendy bus. When we arrived everyone was surprised about how many schools there were at the Telstra Clear Manukau Events Centre. After that we were sitting on the grass and waited about 45 minutes. The security guard led us into the theatre. The theatre was huge! After that we seated on chairs and listened to a man named Henry. He started his speech with amazing expression. He told his story about when he discovered a book. When he went to the library he thought a book that he wanted to borrow was a dvd. Henry was in love with the librarian. Henry described
her as having big fat lips, big eyes and long black hair. Then he introduced Dr Ben Carson to us. He talked about when he was young and that he grew up in a very poor family in America. When he finished high school he went to medical school. Ben was a Neuro surgeon, (a brain surgeon). He told us,what does think big mean and it meant
T- Talented
H- Honest
I- Intelligent
N- Nice
K- Knowledge
B- Books
I- Interactive
G- God

After that we went out and had a free apple and free drink. I felt fantastic after having a drink and apple.

Eastern Beach

Eastern Beach

Finally! It’s picnic time! Every body was wearing mufti, but the worst part was that the bus came late. We waited and waited then the bus finally came, then every body yelled out loud, that my ear burst. After that we all hopped on the bus and while we waited, the girls at the bus sang songs.

When we arrived we saw a school from the South Auckland they were learning how to kayak. Then we had to listen to Mr Johnston for some safety rules. Everybody started to eat morning tea. I took my ball that I bought from home. It was green, white, blue and black. It was only room5 and 6 that played touch. Everybody had a section to swim in the beach. The first section was the junior classes to swim. Room one went first.

So we all kept playing until it was the room 5 or 6 turn. After that Mr Johnston gave us another 20 minutes to swim. The sad thing is that I’m not allowed to swim in the beach. After swimming we had to pack up and go back to school. When we hopped on the bus, the girls at the back sang again!

The best thing was playing touch rugby with my friends.
